Together with Japanese partner Fujitex Co., Ltd. and Chinese partner Metang Novatech, voxeljet underlined its 3D print competence at the World Conference on Investment Casting in Kyoto in April. The event was a resounding success, and there was considerable interest in 3D printers made in Germany.

Just as successful was voxeljet's presence at the 70th World Foundry Congress in Monterrey (Mexico), which was held at the end of April. Here, voxeljet and SYTECH Mexico were able to strengthen their valuable contacts from a seminar series held in February of this year. "We were surprised about the demand for mould production using 3D printing. The foundries in Mexico are very interested in this technology," says Zenki Komori, voxeljet partner for Mexico.
Expectations are high for voxeljet's trip to Metal + Metallurgy China 2012 in Beijing in May. It will be the first time the Augsburg-based company will be presenting its proven VX800 industrial printer. The printer will not be coming back to Germany. Rather, it will remain with Chinese partner Metang, where it will be used for contract production. voxeljet sees great potential for 3D printing in the Chinese market.
