With Voxel the smallest possible volume elements that
can be represented in one 3-dimensional space are
identified - comparable with the pixels in printing
technology. Jet comes from the English "inkjet" and
stands for ink jet printing, one of our key technologies.
Combined "Voxel Jet" is synonymous for 3D printing and
for our claim to transfer efficient 2D printing techniques
to the production of 3D frames.

We currently only manufacture from the Augsburg location. Our ultimate objective is to ensure constant quality at reasonable prices. Since April 2005 we have been certified in accordance with ISO 9000:2001.

voxeljet technology was founded in 1999 by Ingo Ederer with the aim of providing new generative processes for production. The special know-how of the company lies in the connection of high-performance ink jet technology and rapid manufacturing.

In the first phase the company developed
a process which enabled tool making to be revolutionised in the casting area. With the type designation GS 1500 now S15 a machine system was developed as the largest commercially available RP system in the world and represents a class of its own with its unique productivity. Using the equipment sand casting moulds can be generated without tools and fully automatic from data set. The system technology is implemented successfully worldwide for customers such as BMW AG and Daimler AG.

Mid 2003 the company decided to license the technology to the Extrudehone Corporation,
in order to achieve an even greater user circle. voxeljet has focussed itself on the process application, in order to be able to offer a fast generating of moulds to a broad client base.
Today voxeljet operates on three fields: In the supply of services, moulds for casting, cast parts and plastic parts are produced according to customer specification. In the field of printing and dosing technology high-performance ink-jet systems are developed and produced for the most diverse applications, Industrial 3D printing systems for the manufacture of plastic components form the latest product line.
